A member of the WNBA All-Decade team, Thompson has been named to the All-WNBA team eight times and was the WNBA All-Star Game MVP in 2000.

Little League World Series Fastpitch ChampsPortland, OR - Thousands of miles from home and with much of the Alpenrose Stadium crowd chanting for its underdog opponents, Southeast representative Warner Robins, Ga., couldn't be blamed for feeling a bit uncomfortable before the championship of the Little League Softball World Series on Wednesday.
But less than a half-inning later and with a four-run lead in tow, the defending champions were suddenly right where they wanted to be.

ConditioningGirls! Big and small... if your playing sports, your gonna wanna condition.
It has become more apparent to me that many athletes, especially girls between ages of 12 and 18, think that because they already play sports... they don't "need" to condition.
And when asked to condition, the shoulders slump, their knuckles drag and the whining begins...

Sinney Cheuk Woon Yee will Return to Baseball

Serinah Ho - Sinney Cheuk Woon-yee won't let a stray bullet stop her from playing baseball again, even in foreign lands.

The 28-year-old returned with the Hong Kong team from Venezuela yesterday after being shot in the calf during a women's World Cup match against the Netherlands on Friday.

Cheuk, who said the wound is still painful, thanked everyone, especially her "family and teammates," for their support.

"I don't think the injury will hinder my movements and I won't stop playing. Definitely not. It was just an accident and I am not afraid of taking part in competitions later in other countries." more....

18U US National Team Begins

OKLAHOMA CITY USA— The 17-member USA Softball Junior Women’s National Team leaves Monday for the III Pan American Softball Championship (18-Under) in Bogota, Colombia, where they will attempt to qualify for the 2011 International Softball Federation (ISF) IX Junior Women's World Championship (19-Under), December 6-17, 2011, in Cape Town, South Africa. The qualifier, August 6-15, marks the first international competition for all 17 members of Team USA.
