Caroline Doty’s fragile left knee has let her down once again.
Coming off her first complete basketball season since she was a high school junior, the starting point guard on UConn’s national championship women’s basketball team was eagerly awaiting the start of her junior season at Connecticut when she would have likely have assumed a larger offensive role with the two-time defending national champions.
However, Doty tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee late last month while working at a basketball camp and after undergoing further tests, it was revealed that she tore the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee for a third time.
